Program Description:

Based in Seal Harbor, Maine, AIO introduces young people to the exciting world of marine science through a unique hands-on curriculum that combines biological, physical and chemical oceanography with field, classroom, offshore, and laboratory work.

Every summer since 1975, more than 185 young people have attended AIO from all over the United States and around the world.

Qualifications: 10-19 years of age attend age appropriate sessions

Program Dates / Length: one 1 week program June 15-20, four 2-week programs broken into intermediate and advanced sessions

Housing: large dorms in school house

Cost / Availability of Financial Aid: One week program: $995, two week programs $2100. Some merit-based scholarships available.
