Reviews:

"Our daughter attended Adventures in Veterinary Medicine after finishing her sophomore year during summer 2007. She LOVED it. The program was extremely well planned and implemented. The students were housed in new air conditioned dormitories with washers & dryers in them. The food was good, the teachers were great. She got to observe three surgeries one was a horse eye surgery and she actually got to look into the microscope at the horse’s eye during surgery. She observed two dog surgeries and didn’t even flinch. She got to put on a glove and put her hand down into a cow’s stomach via a port where they collect stomach enzymes for other cows that are sick. They taught her how to “tip a sheep” to relax it for an exam, they taught her how to do an exam on a ferret. Every minute was planned and supervised. On the weekends they did fun supervised sightseeing in the Boston area. They had animal choices that ranged from birds, ferrets, sheep, dogs & cats, cows, horses, exotic animals you name it. They did a project they presented to the parents at the end of the program and when she came home they created an AVM Facebook community eager to communicate with her and continue the relationships that begin there. I highly recommend the program to any student who is considering going into veterinary medicine. It was wonderful!"
