Amigos de las Américas builds partnerships to empower young leaders, advance community development and strengthen multicultural understanding in the Americas. For over 40 years, Amigos de las Américas has facilitated transformational community service involving more than 20,000 youth volunteers and thousands of communities in Latin America.

Qualifications: Complete at least sophomore year/ 16yrs old by Sept. of project year/ 2yrs of HS level Spanish

Program Dates / Length: 5-8 weeks (approx. Jun. 15-Aug. 15)

Housing: Volunteers stay with host families.

Cost / Availability of Financial Aid: Participation fee: $3,995. Financial aid up to $500 is available through the International Office of AMIGOS.

Credit Awarded: Yes - Independent Study and Academic Internship credit
