Brown Ledge Gap Year

Program Description:
The Brown Ledge Gap Year combines community living, work, U.S. travel and documentary production. It begins in Vermont with an intensive training in video, audio and digital photography. Armed with these skills, we will take a road trip to El Paso and from there to New Orleans. In each city we will live together, do half-time community service or internships and make individual documentaries.

Qualifications: Participants must be high school graduates and under 21
Program Dates / Length: The main session is August 24 to December 19, with continuing support and a reunion in June
Housing: We will live together in a group house.
Cost / Availability of Financial Aid: $14,000 including housing, food, transportation and equipment. Some financial aid is available.
Credit Awarded: We will help try to arrange credit on an individual basis
