Washington University High School Summer Scholars Program
Location: Missouri

Washington University's main quadrangle.
Program Description:
Experience college life before your freshman year! For an early taste of college life this summer, Washington University’s High School Summer Scholars Program provides academically-talented sophomores and juniors with five weeks of serious fun, a rewarding academic challenge, and the excitement of living and bonding with fellow students from around the country and the world. You will get a head start on college courses (and learn the study skills required to do well), garner helpful hints on admissions and financial aid, and experience the independence of college life.
As a participant in this small selective program, you will enroll in up to seven credits of college courses taught by Washington University faculty and guest lecturers, and study alongside undergraduate college students and other fellow Scholars. Stimulating introductory college courses range from the arts and humanities to science and social science. These credits can later apply toward a degree at most accredited colleges or universities. You will live with other scholars in a new residence hall on campus, enjoy a variety of social opportunities, and make lasting friendships. This can be the perfect stepping-stone to the next stage of your education.
